The studio
A small studio making numbered objects and publishing what we learn from them.

How it started
We began with a frustration: everything we bought was built to be replaced. Fast fashion, disposable objects, clothes that lasted a season. We wanted to make the opposite — a small number of things, made properly, kept for years.
So we started with one hoodie. It took eleven months and four mills to get right. We documented every step on our channels, and people followed along. Then they asked to buy it.
That's still the model. We make something, we write about how it was made, and we release it in a run small enough that we can personally inspect every piece. When it's gone, it's gone.

What we won't compromise on
Small runs, always
Never more than a few hundred pieces. Restocks would mean compromising the making, so we don't do them.
Materials we can trace
We name our mills. If we can't tell you where something came from, we won't put it on you.
Documented, not marketed
We publish the process, including the failures. You can judge the work on its merits.
Drop 05 is being made now.
Leave an address and you'll hear about it before it goes public. One email per release, nothing else.
